We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of Australia as the traditional owners of the lands we live and work on.

We pay our respects to Elders past and present who continue to hold and carry deep connections to Country, culture, community and story. Sovereignty has never ceded.

Case management

We offer support to help you stay safe in your home.

Staying@Home Program

Our case managers in the Staying@Home program provide long-term, ongoing support to women and their families who are experiencing high risk and complex situation so they can remain safe in their home after leaving an abusive or violent relationship.

We support women and their families to empower them to stay connected with their social networks, feel safe in their homes, sustain their work and educational opportunities and provide stability for their children.  We help families to navigate systems after domestic and family violence.

We recognise ongoing support is essential to recovery.

Practically our case managers assist by:

  • Undertaking extensive risk assessment
  • Supporting you to develop a safety plan that is based on your individual experience
  • Providing safety audits and access to security upgrades
  • Providing information and referral to appropriate services to help you recover from the trauma dependent on your needs
  • Liaising and advocating with relevant agencies e.g. the courts, legal aid, ACT Policing, real estate, banks etc to keep you connected

Up until my current support worker, I truly don’t think I’ve spoken to anyone previously that assessed my situation in an accurate manner.  My current support worker is so good at risk assessment, making me feel like I’ve been heard and that I’m supported.
