When you have completed your registration you will be asked if you'd like to fundraise for a charity. Please select yes. A list will be populated, scroll towards the bottom and you'll see DVCS. Select DVCS and follow the prompts.

Registration:

Please register directly via the Canberra Times Marathon Festival website: Australian Running Festival Registration

You will be asked if you want to run as part of a team, please answer no. You will run as an individual.

Why DVCS:

All DVCS runners and fundraisers have access to the exclusive DVCS marquee found near the finish line. Our marquee will include chairs, blankets, water, fruit and lollipops for when you have completed the race. We are also happy to mind your gear while you race (please note we are not able to mind children or pets).

Fundraisers who reach a minimum target of $300 will also receive a complimentary DVCS Running Singlet, available on the day. All runners also receive an invitation to the DVCS Supporter Drinks in November 2020. We have reduced the minimum target from $500 by way of acknowledging the financial and emotinal cost the recent bush fires have had on our community.

This year we hope to put together a Kids Mile team! Aimed at primary school aged children, this is the perfect event to get your child involved in fitness and activity, as well as community spirit and support. Children running as an individual only need to raise $50 to qualify for a DVCS running singlet and access to the DVCS tent. If a parent or guardian is running in any other event and achieves the minimum fundraising target, the child does not need to do their own fundraising and will also receive a complimetnary DVCS running singlet.

The highest adult fundraiser will receive two complimentary tickets to the DVCS Gala Ball on Saturday 16 May 2020.

There might even be some encouraging DVCS supporters on the track to help keep you motivated (for the Kids Mile, 5km and 10km races only).

All DVCS runners are invited to be part of our exclusive DVCS Runners Closed Facebook group to keep each other motivated and share training tips!

All the money raised by our runners will be used to support our payment of emergency accommodation and security upgrades for those subjected to violence in the ACT community.
