Domestic violence, family violence and intimate partner violence can affect all people, irrespective of age, race, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation and relationship type. The Domestic Violence Crisis Service supports all people, including people who are intersex.
This website contains some useful resources including information about:
- What you can do during a violent incident at home
- Preparing to leave your home
- Staying safe once a relationship has terminated
- Keeping safe on social media
For additional resources and information for intersex people you can visit the Organisation Intersex International Australia (OII Australia). In addition, in the ACT, A Gender Agenda provides support and advocacy to intersex people, transgender people and other people who do not fit cultural assumptions about the male/female binary.
Please contact us here should you wish to discuss your options further. You can contact us anonymously. We do not make any sound recordings of our conversations, but we do record that we spoke to you. This record can be made anonymously. If you are unsure, please speak to our crisis workers at the commencement of the call.
